Friday May 1 FREE Classes

10:30am - 11:15am - Intro to Wireless lens Control (Presented by Marc Morris and Tamron)

Tamron has introduced the Tamron-LINK, a Bluetooth module for wireless lens control, compatible with Tamron's hybrid lens lineup. Join Tamron Representative Marc Morris for a conversational, live demonstration of Tamron's Lens Utility app and the Tamron-LINK itself. Prepare to have your expectations for lens capability elevated.

12:00pm - 12:45pm - Fujifilm Basic (Presented by Ben Hecht and Fujifilm)

This class navigates through buttons, menu settings, and customization to feel like a pro with your Fujifilm camera.

1:30pm - 2:15pm - Landscape Photography (Presented by Alex Everett and Sony Alpha)

After years of exploring Washington's alpine wilderness and most recently completing his move to Colorado, Sony Tech Rep Alex Everett never leaves on a hike or camping trip without his camera and a small array of lenses. In this 45-minute crash course, he'll give you a rundown on his approach - what he looks for, his favorite focal lengths, as well as tips and tricks you might not otherwise consider when heading out to photograph landscapes.

3:00pm - 3:45pm - Easy Outdoor Studio Lighting (Presented by Mike's Camera Educator Joe Klocek)

When we shoot portraits outside we mix the light on the subject into an exposure with the light on the background. That might sound complex, but it’s actually an easy concept. It can be achieved with reflectors or with simple flash techniques. In this demonstration we will explore how.

4:00pm - 4:45pm - Modifying Masks in Photoshop (Presented by Mike's Camera Educator Joe Klocek)

In Photoshop we create selections and masks so we can target our edits. While that may sound complex, it’s actually pretty easy, once you understand some essential techniques. In this free lecture we will create and modify complex selections and masks in a live demonstration format.

Saturday May 2 FREE Classes

10:30am - 11:15am - Wildlife Photography (Presented by Jeff Mitchell and Nikon)

North & South American Wildlife Storytelling. This class will give a brief overview of photographing wildlife in both North and South America. We will discuss settings and gear used.  We’ve got the class with more info, more options and more ideas on setting-up the Buttons, Dials, Menus and Settings to help you step-up your interchangeable lens camera game.

12:00pm - 12:45pm - Pet Photography (Presented by Rob Sylvan and Canon)

All about pets! This class will help you with your pet photography and we will discuss certain features of our cameras like tracking and animal detection (available in all the latest EOS R cameras). We will go over shutter speeds as well as composition and awareness of your surroundings. Whether you want your pet to be an Instagram influencer or want to make and keep meaningful memories by printing portraits of your pet, this is the class for you. For beginners to advanced amateurs.

1:30pm - 2:15pm - Fujifilm Film Simulations (Presented by Ben Hecht and Fujifilm)

This class is all about getting the most out of the color science in the Fujifilm cameras.  We will talk in depth about the built in film simulations and what each is useful for, and then we will discuss the specific settings users can modify to make their own custom recipes.

3:00pm - 3:45pm - Skin Retouching in Photoshop (Presented by Mike's Camera Educator Joe Klocek)

When you’re editing a portrait in Photoshop you need to pay special attention to the subject’s skin tone. That includes blemishes and skin discoloration. How do we edit these traits to make our subject look his or her best? And can it be easy? In this free lecture we will explore this issue.

4:00pm - 4:45pm - Macro Focusing Techniques (Presented by Mike's Camera Educator Joe Klocek)

Macro photography is very fun, but it contains one real challenge: focusing. We shoot macro imagery at very shallow depths of field. In this demonstration we will explore the ways we overcome this difficulty to create beautiful imagery.
