Course Overview

Many photographers put their cameras away when the sun goes down. But this is when some of the most amazing images can be created! In this class we will demystify creating images after dark. We’ll explore building an exposure in dark conditions and how to capture night scenes, fireworks, and astrophotography. Sunset will never scare away your camera again. Hope to see you there!

Discover the magic of photography after dark! In this online class, you’ll learn how to capture stunning images in low-light conditions — from city lights and glowing landscapes to the stars above. We’ll explore the essential techniques, camera settings, and creative approaches that bring nighttime scenes to life.

You’ll gain a solid understanding of exposure for dark environments, how to reduce noise, and how to use long exposures to capture movement and light trails. Plus, you’ll get tips on focusing in the dark, shooting the night sky, and editing your images for dramatic, clean results.

  • Camera settings for night and low-light shooting
  • How to focus and expose in challenging lighting
