Overview:
Join Mike's Camera and Tamron Lenses for a three (3) Part Fall Foliage workshop! Part one includes an online class instruction. One week later we will meet as a group for a guided walking tour in Colorado’s Clear Creek County starting in Idaho Springs, where you’ll get hands-on photography instruction to capture landscape and macro images from late afternoon continuing thru the Golden and Blue Hour. For the third part of this class, you’ll be able to share the images you captured with the group during a virtual follow-up image gallery and critique.
What You’ll Learn:
On September 24, your evening pre-fall foliage virtual lecture will consist of suggestions for general equipment so that you are prepared for the photo shooting day. The lecture will include an overview of exposure value and the advantages of shallow depth of field. A mini lecture on looking at light as well as a review of composition and choosing the right lens.
The following Tuesday, October 1 (GROUP A) and Wednesday, October 2 (GROUP B) is your invitation to take the day off work and join a private guided tour in Clear Creek County, Colorado. Photographic Locations for the day include Chicago Creek Waterfalls, Echo Lake Park and Juniper Pass.
Your instructors Brian Rabin from Mikes Camera and Marc Morris from Tamron Lenses will be on hand to answer any technical questions and provide you hands-on assistance and instruction to ensure you capture wonderful fall foliage images.
On Tuesday October 8, we will meet online to share our favorite images and give each other feedback. You will also be able to pick up a 12x18 print of your favorite image from your local Mike's Camera!
What to Bring:
- Your camera(s) with extra memory cards and Batteries
- A variety of lenses from telephoto and zoom to prime and macro
- Tripod/Monopod; suggested, but not required
- Water, snacks and maybe a pack lunch.
- Hat to protect from the sun, sunscreen, light raincoat, or appropriate clothing for the season
- Comfortable shoes
Tuition: $199.00
Tuition includes an evening webinar, hands-on instructed workshop, and participation in the class critique, plus a 12x18-inch Print of a favorite image from your day’s shoot.
Online Parts 1 and 3 will be recorded and available to review for 7 days following each session.
Max Class Size:
This workshop is limited to 18 photographers in each Group. During the fall foliage photo shoot, we will meet as a group in Idaho Springs to connect and then each participant will travel (using their own vehicle) to each shooting location. Participation is for those 16 years and older. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a paying adult 21 years or older.
