Using Micro 4/3 Cameras for Travel Photography

Follow us on Facebook to stay informed about workshops like this one and more!

Overview

As we become more mobile and travel- are we putting too much emphasis on the gear and not the experience? Regardless of whether we are visiting our local zoo, a National Park or traveling around the world- we want to capture awesome imagery while being in the moment and enjoying the experience. The benefits of traveling with mirrorless cameras are plenty fold- small size and ease of use, awesome image quality and less conspicuous size make micro 4/3 cameras the natural travel accessory.

After visiting every continent except Antarctica and over 44 of the 50 States, William has gained an appreciation for keeping it simple, while creating images that tell a story. William will share images from his amazing voyages and discuss how to create photographs with impact using the latest mirrorless camera systems.

Some benefits of using a Micro 4/3 camera for travel

  • Weight and compact size versus a DSLR camera
  • Hybrid Photography- shoot both stills and video
  • Variety of lenses available and adaptability of existing lenses
  • Ease of editing images on the go
  • Less Stress!

About Your Instructor

William Innes became fascinated with photography at an early age after being intrigued by the buttons and dials on his father’s camera. He believes to be a great wedding photographer you need to be well versed in all kinds of photography, including portrait, landscape, action and product techniques. Besides wedding photography, William loves traveling the world to experience the food, culture and sights and to-date he has visited 42 countries. William is a member of the Panasonic Lumix Luminary team, promoting mirrorless cameras across the USA. He works and lives in Santa Clarita, California with his wife and little dog.
