Demo day at Denver botanic gardens

Camera and lens demo day

Photograph a wide range of gardens and collections across 24 acres with an ever-widening diversity of plants from all corners of the world. These distinctive gardens define and celebrate a Western identity, and a unique high altitude climate and geography.

Whether you’re thinking of changing your camera or have your eye on a lens you’ve been hoping to try out, Demo Days provide a unique opportunity to try out all sorts of gear and capture some spectacular photographs.

Best of all, all demo loaner gear for the test drive is FREE! Our Demo Days are fun for kids and grown-ups alike

Picture Points

As you wander the grounds be sure to look for our roving Picture Points, where the crew from Mike’s Camera will have macro shots setup with reflectors and LED lighting. Our crew will be there to assist you with your photography questions and provide tips for capturing the best shots during your visit.

The Fine Print

A valid Credit Card & Driver’s License is required to checkout gear and will be kept on file until return of equipment. Test Drive Loaner gear is FREE. Restrictions apply. Look for the Mike's Camera Tents at Denver Botanic Gardens the day of the event or stop by any of our Colorado stores for more details.

The photos you take with the loaned equipment are yours to keep! Bring your own SD card (CF for some flagship Canon & Nikon models) to use in the cameras to store your files. If you forget to bring a memory card, you can borrow one, and a CD containing your photos will be burned for you before you leave.

Although registration is not necessary, standard Denver Botanic Gardens admission fees apply. All gear is provided on a first come, first served basis, so get there early for best selection. All gear must be returned by 4:00PM. Gear is rented out in 1-hour increments throughout the day. If there is no current wait line for the equipment you checked out, you may renew for another hour, or try out a different piece of equipment!
