Discover how to use Flash and strobe lighting to get amazing and natural looking photos that will set you apart ! This class is geared for on location photography but can easily translate to the studio.
Shooting outdoors can be a challenge when you are reliant on natural light, learn how to take your outdoor shots to a new level using off camera flash while still ending with a finished result that looks like only natural lighting was used. Understand what is takes to pose people in these outdoor situations while keeping your photography sessions fun and interactive.

- Shooting TTL vs Manual
- How to shoot with off camera flash / strobes
- Tools ( modifiers ) to use for flash / strobe for amazing results
- How to easily get rid of unwanted shadows
- How to expose correctly first, before using the flash
- How to work with people for posing
This class is divided into two parts. We will learn in classroom Friday evening then Saturday we will go on location (Washington Park) and shoot!
A short lecture on building a manual exposure to control background and how to use a strobe unit
The class will travel to a nearby park where we will create images of a model, using the skills we learned in the classroom.

About Your Instructor
Christian Metzler is a lecturer with Mikes Camera with over 18 years of photography experience, he has taught internationally along with five years teaching at Mikes Camera. Christian is a member of WPPI (wedding portrait professionals international) When not teaching for Mikes Camera he runs his own photography business at http://www.metzler.photography.com and is a contract photographer for Compassion International.
