Overview

Discover how to use strobes to create dramatic and consistent portrait images outside anytime, anywhere.

Many photographers believe using strobes is difficult or time consuming. In this course we will learn that not only can they make a dramatic difference, but are easy to use and mix into the light outdoors. This class will focus on the flexibility of using battery operated Strobe lighting in an outdoor setting.

What you’ll learn

  • How to use studio strobes to ensure you create the result you are looking for
  • Understanding of strobe brightness and control
  • How to build a manual exposure to control ambient light
  • Light placement and creative techniques

This class consists of two parts, which are taught back to back

Seminar

A short lecture on building a manual exposure to control background and how to use a strobe unit
