What You’ll Learn

This three-session workshop is designed for the digital photographer who wishes to further develop their Photoshop Elements skills. You’ll learn efficient ways to edit, enhance, and maximize your photographs to their full potential, by using the adjustment and retouching tools to turn good pictures you already have into stunning photographs.

Overview of Topics

  • Review of the workspace, cropping, color correction, and sharpening

  • Adjusting Images using different guided and expert editing modes, functions, and tools

  • Understanding layers: Photoshop’s most powerful feature and learning why they’re useful

  • Complex cut outs and composites

  • Dehaze and shake reduction

  • Editing jpeg verses RAW images

  • Dodging and burning

  • Custom looks for any image

Because of the hands-on nature of this workshop and the complexities of learning software, this
workshop is limited to 10 people.

Prerequisites

Your own laptop computer, with a version of Photoshop Elements software pre-loaded. We will be
instructing using Adobe Photoshop Elements 14, the most current version of the software, however,
be aware that if you have an older version you may encounter slight differences within the user
interface and certain functions. If you would like to work with Elements 14 during the workshop but
have an older version of the software,
we recommend you download a trial version.

It is also important that you have a basic understanding of Photoshop Elements and have used it for
editing you images.

Please make sure that you can attend all three dates of the workshop before signing up.
Due to limited class size, make up dates will not be permitted.
