This is the ideal workshop for the still photographer who’s looking to take their story telling to the next level.
Workshop is three parts, a pre-shoot lecture, a hands-on instructional shoot at the Chalk Art Festival, and a screening / critique of your completed super-short film, complete with popcorn.

Meet up at Mike’s Camera in Park Meadows for an informative talk about the principles of shooting good video. Learn to shoot in segments and how to tie them into a narrative with beginning, middle and end.
Saturday Morning Shoot
What better way to learn video than to cover a colorful street event! The Denver Chalk Art Festival is an amazing free event held every year with a large variety of subjects to explore. We will spend three hours there and provide instruction and advice while shooting our individual projects.
Follow up Screening & Critique
Meet back up at Mike’s Camera in Park Meadows to wrap up the workshop with a fun and rewarding screening and critique of our projects. Each student will show their completed 90 second super-short film and receive insightful feedback from peers and experts. Popcorn provided of course!
