About Me Ra Koh

Me Ra Koh loves cameras, kids, and parents, and spends her life bringing them together. Her work and photo recipes have been featured on The Oprah Winfrey Show, LifetimeTelevision, VH1, Disney, Martha Stewart Living Radio and was the regular guest photo expert on The Nate Berkus Show (NBC) for two years.

In November 2012, she will host her own show on Disney Junior TV, empowering and inspiring moms to capture their kids. She is the author of the bestselling book, Your Baby in Pictures: The New Parents’ Guide to Photographing Your Baby’s First Year. Her photo tips have been featured in The New York Times, Parenting magazine, American Baby magazine, Popular Photographyand American Photo magazines, and her award winning photos have been on exhibit from New York City to San Francisco. Her instructional DVD series "Refuse to Say Cheese"and "Beyond the Green Box" won the prestigious national Gold Seal Award from the National Parenting Publication Awards.

In 2009, SONY requested the opportunity to license the DVD series and commissioned Me Ra to produce, Kids in Focus, another instructional DVD for parents. She is proud to be one of six SONY Artisans of Imagery representing family portraiture.

For the last four years, her CONFIDENCE workshop (a photography workshop for women) has sold out nationwide, empowering women with their photography passion. Me Ra is an inspirational keynote speaker, speaking to the heart of women and inspiring their creative spirits. Session 1: Seminar

In this 2 hour seminar Me Ra will help you discover new ways to photograph your family and friends in a way that will tell a story with beautifully composed images.

She will share the lessons she’s learned throughout her career as a lifestyle photographer and give you a new perspective on how to approach photographic opportunities in everyday life.

Session 2: Hands on Workshop

Take the information that Me Ra shared with you and put it into action! Join her after the seminar with a group of no more than 19 other people. She’ll be able to work one on one with individuals in the group and give you practical shooting experience that you can apply as you document the lives of the ones you love.
