About Erin Manning
Erin Manning is a professional photographer, author, educator, and media personality. Television viewers know Erin best as the digital photography expert and host of DIY Network’s Telly-award-winning TV series The Whole Picture. In addition to creating and hosting the popular Digital Photography 101 video series, she is the author of two books, Portrait and Candid Photography and Make Money with Your Digital Photography, both published by Wiley. She enjoys helping people understand photography and technology and is known for her clear, friendly teaching style.
Erin spent several years working as a commercial, portrait, and stock photographer, as well as completing a degree in Studio Art/Graphic Design from Loyola Marymount University. She serves on the Board of Directors for the Digital Imaging Marketing Association and is a member of the American Photographic Artists, Women in Photography International, and the Los Angeles Digital Imaging Group, whose purpose is dedicated to advancing the art and science of digital imaging.

Session 2: Hands on Workshop
Put what professional photographer, author, and educator, Erin Manning, taught you in the morning seminar to practical use with this unique Hands-on Studio Workshop photo shoot.
This workshop features full studio lighting set-ups, with models, so you can capture images with your own camera. Erin will help you create beautiful portraits by teaching you how to create different lighting patterns and how to use those patterns to bring out the authentic personality of your subject. She will also step you through critical subjects like lens selection, backgrounds, light modifiers, tripod use, exposure control and posing techniques.

Bring your camera with mid-range and/or long zoom lens.
Workshop Requirements
Workshop attendees should have a basic understanding of manual exposure and be able to adjust their DSLR white balance settings.
