Far too often people feel composition is something inborn, that you either have a “photographers eye” or you do not. Nothing could be further from the truth. Drawing on the compositional elements and skills artists have used for centuries, we will examine the simple and accessible techniques you need to be successful with the compositional side of your shooting.
Saturday Morning Shoot
To cement what we learned in the lecture we will go on a hike from 8:00 - 11:00 at the hiking trail at Red Rocks. Make sure to wear sun screen and dress for warm weather. Your instructor will guide the group and give his thoughts on different ways to interpret the subject matter at hand.
Follow up Critique & Gallery Opening
Meet back up at Park Meadows for a constructive critique and gallery showing. We’ll print a 12x18 of your favorite image and mount and display it – it’s yours to take home at the end of the evening. You’ll also share two additional images that you are proud of (electronically). It’s a great chance to show off your own successes and learn from everyone else’s!
